You can really start to see the turn of the season…
Clocks turn this weekend in England, and although it is still a little breezy and can catch the chill at night, you can definately feel Spring is almost upon us!
It’s a big year for my mother. I mean, a big birthday, the age which she will never make me say in public.
We went to Gravetye Manor and had a splendid lunch!
It’s in the middle of nowhere, near East Grinstead, but what a gorgeous place.
Nothing beats a rather chilly afternoon, in a grand old manor house, with a roaring fire, great company and the most delightful lunch menu.
Gravetye Manor is somewhere where time stands still. Still in the past, still in the moment, and still in the many more years to come and enjoyed by all those who come here. Everything about this gorgeous place oozes opulence, understated luxury, calmness and old school beauty that can only be experienced and devoured when you really want to get away from it all and be looked after for once. You are immediately made to feel relaxed, breathe in that crystal fresh air, of the British Countryside, and enjoy the gardens (they even have free wellington boots you can borrow so you don’t have to get your heels muddy!).
I will be back in the summer, in time for the garden to bloom in all its glory.
