I remember when I was a medic and we used to scurry to Paul’s for coffee and the occasional cooked breakfast at Carluccio’s opposite Chelsea and Westminster hospital to make most of the NHS discount. Cross the road into Hollywood Road though, and you will discover a whole gem of little restaurants that will ooze oooh-aahh factor for date nights.
Someone told me about Brinkey’s Garden as a suggestion to host my birthday dinner party. I checked out the website and its terrace area looked so pretty with lush foliage and twinkly lights. Right up my strasse!
Booking was easy and the manager was friendly.. enough to cater for my every requirement. The party menu is perfect with lots of good options and for what turned out to be £40 pp including drinks for group of 14 of my closest and dearest, I cannot fault this place.
My friends joined me in commenting how tasty all the dishes were, neatly presented, portion size just perfect, and ambience lifted by dim lighting and candles everywhere. I loved it.
The chocolate roulade with fireworks was quite something to round off a delicious meal! I have a video clip somewhere of everyone singing but will save the embarrassment for another day!
Unhurried services, super chilled and quaint environment with a local feel, good food, and excellent company… what more do you want? The place was totally packed out on Saturday night. This one is an absolute keeper in my little black book of go-to restaurants in this neck of the woods. Little black dress at the ready…
