I had forgotten how to be a tourist in London. There are so many museums and art galleries across town, and that’s not even including all the pop-ups these days too. I had just dined at the Chiltern Firehouse in Marylebone village and with hunger perfectly satiated, my family meandered down to Manchester Square and wondered into The Wallace Collection.
Time really does fly and it’s mid-November already… London has really started to feel festive with everyone warming their mitts with Starbucks Red Cups, cute couples excitedly heading towards outdoor ice rinks popping across town, Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland is getting set up, and tourists are milling and marveling around department stores’ magical window displays…
Mampei Hotel founded in 1984 is one of the most beautiful and well-known hotel in Karuizawa, visited by many prime ministers, celebrities, artists, and the like, who value and appreciate the retention of the old-time architecture and hospitality at one of Japan’s original luxury resort destinations.
For dinner, we dined at Beaux Sejours. A french restaurant within the Prince Hotel complex. If you were looking for a romantic ambiance overdrive, this would be the place.
